We are reviewing the cost recovery arrangements for permit application activities under the Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 (Sea Dumping Act).

We are seeking to revise the charges that currently apply. The charges were last revised in 2014 and are set out in the Cost Recovery Implementation Statement (CRIS).

You can now provide feedback on the proposed changes to cost recovery under the Sea Dumping Act.

To have your say:

  • read the attached Cost Recovery for Permit Applications under the Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 consultation paper. This discusses options for how we may implement changes to cost recovery to ensure sustainable funding for permit assessment activities under the Sea Dumping Act

  • take our survey now

  • submit your feedback by 14 April 2023.

Once the consultation period has closed, we will consider the submissions which will support the development of a draft Cost Recovery Implementation Statement for public consultation.
