Overview

The Director of National Parks and the Kakadu Board of Management are developing a new Management Plan for Kakadu National Park. When finalised, the plan will set the direction for the future of the park and guide its management for 10 years.

Have your say

We are inviting interested parties and members of the public to make suggestions on the future management of Kakadu National Park.

There will be two public consultation periods. The first being this notice of intent to develop a draft management plan, with the second following the release of the draft management plan for comment.

The comments received during the two public consultation processes will be considered before a final management plan is provided to the Minister for the Environment and Water.

You can now provide feedback to help us prepare a draft of the new management plan.

To have your say, you can:

  • answer the consultation questions on this webpage, or

  • upload a written submission.

Submit your feedback by AEST 11.00 pm on Thursday, 31 July 2025.

Feedback received from this consultation period will help to inform the preparation of the draft management plan, which will then be made available for comment before it is finalised.
