What happens next
We will use aggregate information to inform discussions at the Agricultural Water Statistics Working Group (AWSWG). The AWSWG is currently being established and will meet for the first time before 30 June 2025. The AWSWG will work with the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) to develop replacement water use on Australian farms and gross value of irrigated agricultural production statistics.
