Review of Australia's Space Industry Capability

I'm a physics PhD who's moved into entrepreneurship. My ultimate goal is to create a space business. I know many highly skilled and educated engineers, investors and physicists in Australia who share this dream. But the risk profile is too great to get the investment too make it work. I believe public funds are the only way to unlock the this new, moonshot industry. If only by reducing the risk to private investors.

Personally, the only avenue i can see to to start a space business in Australia is to generate my own capital through a startup in another sector and use these funds to start. This is what I'm doing working on now.
