Have your say on the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 review
The Australian Government has appointed an independent panel to undertake a comprehensive review of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (the SRC Act), the legislation which underpins the Comcare workers’ compensation scheme. More information about the review is available on the department’s website.

The panel has released an issues paper to provide information on the review and questions to help frame feedback.

You can participate in the review and provide feedback by completing a short survey or providing a submission in response to the issues paper.
The panel wants to hear from interested parties, including:
· Injured workers or family members of injured workers who have lived experience of the Comcare scheme.
· Other participants directly involved in the workers’ compensation scheme, such as employers of an injured worker, claims managers, rehabilitation providers and health care providers.
· Peak representative bodies and organisations.
· Legal representatives, insurers, actuaries and academics with experience in workers’ compensation.
Interested stakeholders are invited to provide feedback by the following dates:
· Submissions to the issues paper are open until 20 December 2024.
· Responses to the short survey are open until 31 January 2025.
